Last week the Évora Molten Salt Platform (EMSP) welcomed an official visit from a delegation of the Committee on Environment, Energy and Climate Protection of the Parliament of the Federal State of Lower Saxony, Germany. The visit was part of a working mission to Portugal taking place from May 5 to 10, focused on international cooperation in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.

The German delegation, composed of 14 parliamentarians, was led by Marie Kollenrott, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Committee, representing the parliamentary group Bündnis 90/Die Grünen. The group also included spokespersons from other parliamentary factions of Lower Saxony, accompanied by representatives of the German Embassy in Lisbon.

During their visit to EMSP, the delegates were introduced to the research projects being conducted in the field of molten salt solar thermal energy.
